Hello all you busy mama's!!

...I love to read. A lot. And I would love to be part of a book club again. I crave that kind of interaction and adult conversation with people who are as passionate about words as I am. Unfortunately, my desire for enlightening, uplifting reading and my crazy schedule refuse to cohabitate. So this seems to be the next best thing! I would love some input on different books that people are interested in reading ... I, for one, am usually reading 2 or 3 different books at a time, so I'm hoping that eventually we'll be able to have multiple readings, from different genres, going on at the same time. That way as many people as would like to can be involved. One more thing -- we're all busy, I'm sure. That being said, I think it's important to use the time that I do have wisely, meaning I would like to be sure that the books we are reading are uplifting, stimulating, and (this is important to me, sorry!) clean. So my good friends Tera, Alicia and Megan are starting with me, and we are hoping to get as many 'busy mama's' as we can! We'll post a some books to vote on for the next month on the 15th of the previous month ... and then a new book and reading schedule will be posted 5 days before the start of the new month.
We'll start topics for discussion, and if any of you have a topic you would like to contribute, just post it and we'll start a new thread! If anyone has a better idea on how to do this, please let us know :) Since we're anxious to start -- we've gone ahead and picked the first book: Mr. Darcy's Diary, by Amanda Grange (I think you will find that we are all Austen-istas, and this will probably not be the last Austen or Austen related reading, but we will definately take any and all suggestions for the voting!) We'll start the first book on June 1st, and read approximately 83 pages a week... just to give you a rough outline to keep up on the threads. Hope this is all clear!
